‘USA will most probably not be very active in the regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2018 as well’, said the Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Political-Military Analysis at Hudson Institute, Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) and famous American political expert Richard Weitz.
He continues to say that Washington did not perform any serious efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2017.
‘You should not expect the USA showcase any actions targeted at changing the status quo in the negotiations on resolving the Karabakh issue any time soon. Washington is mainly focusing on events in the Near East, Ukraine and North Korea’, Weitz stated.
The American political expert also noted that the country did not make any effects in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict even under Obama Administration and that the region is not among priorities of the USA.
