Nearly identical to the manufacturer's modular handgun system submission, the Glock 19x is being called Glock's first 'crossover' pistol.

Glock has unveiled three new pistols. Joining the Glock 26 Gen5 Subcompact and Glock 34 Gen5 MOS is the Glock 19X.

Modeled after Glock’s Modular Handgun System submission to the U.S. Army, the new 19X brings something to unique to the table.

“It’s a crossover pistol,” says Shane Cooley, Team Glock’s captain. “We incorporated a G19 slide on top of a G17 frame, so we basically have one gun that met both requirements of the Army’s MHS contract.”

The 19X is nearly identical to manufacturer’s MHS submission, the only difference is that the military version features a manual safety.

A coyote color marks Glock’s first factory colored slide. The internal make-up of the pistol is Gen5. It features an improved fire control system, ambidextrous slide stop levers, and the Marksman barrel.

The G17 size frame removes all finger grooves and features a flared magazine well, lanyard loop and an extended toe. This extension prevents the 19X from using Gen5 magazines.

The slide is finished in a durable nPVD finish that matches the frame.

Trijicon night sights come standard on the 19X.
