The ministry's leadership led by the Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov took part in the event organized in a military unit, sad the ministry.

After the report to the Minister of Defence on the readiness of the military personnel for the solemn ceremony, the Battle Flag was introduced into the training range in accordance with the military ritual. The military personnel performed the National Anthem, and the event was declared open.

After young soldiers took the solemn military oath, Colonel-General Z. Hasanov congratulated the military personnel, who is starting the service in the Azerbaijan Army on the occasion of this day and gave them recommendations.

The minister noted that from now they are soldiers of the Azerbaijan Army, and being loyal to the Motherland, the State, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the military oath, the military personnel should always be ready to fulfil the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Other speakers also congratulated the young soldiers in regard with the military oath, wishing them to be disciplined and vigilant in protecting the Motherland for restoring territorial integrity.

After the passage a solemn march of young soldiers, the guests got acquainted with the conditions created in the military unit, having inspected the soldiers’ barracks, the mess hall, the bath-laundry complex, and other administrative and office facilities.

The ceremony continued with a festive lunch and a concert program.
