In accordance with the instructions of Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, a series of commemorative events will be held in Azerbaijani Army in connection with the 26th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
Round-table discussions, conferences, meetings and special trainings will be held in the Special Forces, formations and military units and educational institutions of special purpose, the ministry told Defence.az.
Moreover, exhibitions of books, photos and paintings, literary and artistic compositions and performances, documentary films dedicated to the tragedy will be organized.
The graves of Khojaly genocide victims who sacrificed their lives for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland will be visited.
Besides, the personnel will visit the monuments erected in the memory of the Khojaly genocide victims in Khatai district of Baku city, Goranboy city and Aghjakend settlement, as well as other districts and towns of the country.
On February 26, a minute`s silence will be held at 17.00 in all formations and military units, offices and institutions of the ministry and educational institutions of special purpose throughout the country to commemorate the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
