A Russian naval fleet, carrying Kalibr missiles, has headed to the Syrian port city of Tartus in the Eastern waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Arab media reports said on Monday.

Sputnik reported that the Russian Caspian Sea Flotilla, including Veliki Ustyug 651 (x-023) and Grad Sviyazhsk 652 (c-021) carrying SS-N-30/Kalibr 3M-14 and ground to ground missiles has gone through the Bosphorous Strait and entered the Mediterranean Sea.

Sputnik further quoted Turkish websites as reporting that Russia's 21631 Project of Flotilla Buyan M Class is on its course to Syria's Tartus port city.

Yoruk Isik of the Bosphorous Observer reported on Saturday that a Russian BSF Tapir (NATO:Alligator) class LST Nikolai Filchenkov 152 was seen traveling through the Bosphorous Strait en route to Tartus.

During the trip, the Russian ship briefly encountered the Turkish Coast Guard near the Bosphorous Strait before continuing its route to Tartus.

This latest shipment marked the fourth time this year that this ship delivered military supplies to the Port of Tartus.
