More than $ 1 million seized at complex belonged to head of Serzh Sargsyan's security service

In the criminal case investigated by Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, necessary large-scale investigative and operational-search measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the abuses recorded in the 'Jans' Music Hall to ensure a comprehensive investigation. Investigative Committee of Armenia reported about that on Facebook, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian media. 


As a result of internal investigations, financial abuse was detected in 'Jans' Complex, owned by 'Selena' LLC. According to the preliminary data, the accountant of the complex committed embezzlement individually, and in some cases together with the manager from October 2012 to May 2017, causing company property damage worth about 25.000.000 drams. In June 2017, the accountant returned 6.000.000 drams to S. Karapetyan as compensation for the caused damage. 

To investigate the accounting documents relating to the club activities operating on the territory of the 'Jans' complex, the investigations were carried out in the open coffee as well as computer and other technical means and devices, electronic carriers containing data on them at S.Karapetyan's residence, the director of Selena LLC, R. Beglaryan, the actual owner of 'Selena' LLC, and also in the territory of the 'Jans' complex. Accounting documentation, computers and electronic carriers were found and seized during the conducted searches. 

Besides, 2 guns with documents and more than 1 million US dollars were found. The preliminary investigation still continues. The report says that additional information on investigation will be provided further. 

Note, 'Jans' complex has a music club and restaurant. According to the media, the complex belongs to the head of Serzh Sargsyan's security service, Vachagan Ghazaryan.
