As it is known, a Central Military Veterinary Laboratory of the Defence Ministry has been established and equipped with the most modern equipment upon the instruction of Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov in order to ensure and improve the army personnel's food safety in line with the measures taken by Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and in accordance with the requirements of relevant normative legal acts.


Chief of the Central Military Veterinary Laboratory, Major Anar Mammadov said that the aim of the laboratory is monitor the quality of the food accepted for nutrition of the personnel of the Armed Forces and the situation in agricultural enterprises.

"The laboratory consists of six sections. The food products undergo physical-chemical, bacteriological, radiological and toxicological examination and experise in these sections. Specialists in the treatment-and-prophylactic department, are examining and treating large and small cattle in agricultural enterprises. Our newly-built laboratory gives us extensive opportunities in all these processes. If the quality of the product was previously checked within a few hours, now it takes less time. This is of great importance in feeding our soldiers with healthy products. We have one main objective in fulfillment of our duties, thus, to provide soldeirs with healthy food so that they can be healthy and brave. Because there is a sacred task ahead of them - to liberate our occupied lands from the enemy.
