Ankara is not satisfied with the US actions on the creation of a security zone in Syria, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

“The US and Turkey have launched ground patrols in northern Syria, but all other US actions are just superficial in nature,” Cavusoglu added, Turkish media reports on Sept. 10.

"The Turkish armed forces can enter northern Syria at any time to create a security zone, if the US is inactive in creating a security zone in northern Syria," Cavusoglu added.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that if the West does not contribute to the creation of a security zone in northern Syria, Ankara will open the borders of Turkey with Europe for Syrian refugees.

“The West verbally approves the creation of the security zone, but in fact it does not contribute to this,” President Erdogan added.

He added that 350,000 Syrian refugees were sent from Turkey to the Syrian territories cleared by the Turkish armed forces from terrorists.
