A pilot from the Canadian Snowbirds is unhurt after having to eject from his aircraft Sunday before a performance at an airshow in Atlanta, Ga.

Domon-Grenier and his wife, Capt. Sarah Dallaire, are the first-ever married couple to be part of the same Snowbirds flying formation.

The rest of Sunday's show was cancelled after the crash, event organizers said on Facebook.

Cpt. Kevin Domon-Grenier, who is from Quebec, was forced to eject from his CT-144 Tutor aircraft before it crashed into a pasture near the area of Brooks, which is in the USA state of Georgia.

Video posted on social media showed a grey smoke in the air at the crash site.

Representatives of the Atlanta Air Show did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Domon-Grenier told CTV News he had dreamed about being a Snowbirds pilot since he was eight years old. The Snowbirds also issued a statement on Twitter following the incident.

"It's already awesome to share a military career with your spouse, but once you hit the dream that you wanted to do, being a Snowbird pilot, then that's even better", Domon-Grenier said at the time.
