NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said NATO countries intend to increase military spending by $400 billion by 2024.

Defense spending by non-US NATO members will rise massively by 2024. As of 2016, European allies and Canada would then have spent $400 billion (363 billion euros) more, said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Friday before the Alliance leaders' summit in London next week. He spoke of "unprecedented progress" that will make the Alliance stronger.
