Battles continue along frontline

During the day of October 24 and night of October 25, combat operations continued in the direction of Aghdara, Khojavend, Fuzuli, Hadrut, Gubadli and Lachin districts. The Armenian armed forces fired at the Azerbaijani troops in the area of operations, as well as Aghdam, Tartar and Agjabadi districts from tanks, mortars and artillery.


The statement came from Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant Colonel Anar Eyvazov, Defence.az reports.

Eyvazov said that the units of the Azerbaijani Army continued combat activities in the main areas under the operational plan and expanded the extent of liberated territories.

“The Azerbaijani troops weakened the resistance of Armenians in Khojavend, Gubadli and Lachin districts on the frontline and cleared the battle positions in various directions. The Armenian forces suffered a large number of losses in the directions of Aghdara and Khojavend districts,” he said.

Meanwhile, the units of the 1st battalion of the 543rd regiment of the Armenian armed forces transferred to Gubadli retreated, suffering losses in manpower and military equipment.

As a result of the fire strike of our units, most of the reservists brought from the Tsaghkadzor village of the Kotayk region of Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh were destroyed.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani air forces destroyed three tanks, two shelters and four outposts of the Armenian armed forces in the directions of Aghdara and Aghdam districts.
