ANAMA continues operations in frontline zone

On 8 November, 2020 ANAMA received 19 (nineteen) emergency calls from the ″102 ″ Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 2 (two) call from the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations about shells falling on the territory of Agjabadi, Aghdam, Beylagan, Jabrayil, Goranboy, Fizuli, Tartar and Khojavand regions, ANAMA reports.


As response action to the reported 21 emergency calls ANAMA in close coordination with the specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted 29 emergency and operational clearance field missions in Avshar, Mirashelli, Takhtakorpu, Yukhari Qiyameddinli villages of Agjabedi region, Afatli, Uchoglan villages of Aghdam region, Milabad village of Beylagan region, Mehdili village of Jabrayil region, Alkhanli, Ashagi Seyidahmedli, Ashagi Abdurrahmanli, Kerimbeyli villages and Goradiz city of Fuzuli region, Kerimbeyli, Kerimbeyli Yenikend, Chayli, Seyidimli villages and Shikharkh settlement of Tartar region, Agoglan settlement of Khojavend region.

As reported 19 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 2 pieces of anti-personnel mine, 296 pieces of anti-tank mine, 21 pieces of anti-tank mine explosives, 168 grams of black gunpowder, 903 bullets of various calibers, 1 pieces of meteorological radio direction detectors for military purposes and 21 exploded shell remnants were found as a result of the mission.

ANAMA’s detonation team neutralized 2 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 1 piece of 9N235 bomblets and mechanical mine clearnce team neutralised 1 piece of anti-personnel mine (PMN).

Mine Awareness Specialists conducted mine safety awareness campaign among 42 777 civilians.

In general, from September 27 to November 8, 2020, ANAMA executed 1073 special operational emergency field visits as response action to 1259 signals (operational calls). In line with the agreed Plan of Action special fact finding missions were executed in the residential areas near the oil pipeline, territory of Mingachevir TPP, Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan (BTJ) Pipeline, arable and pasture areas, roadsides, forests, schools in Aghdam, Agdash, Agjabadi, Barda, Beylagan, Bilasuvar, Jabrayil, Goranboy, Naftalan, Fuzuli, Tartar, Tovuz, Shamkir, Hajigabul, Zardab, Khizi, Oghuz, Gebele districts, Ganja and Mingachevir cities, as a result of which 345 unexploded ordnance (UXO), 1  654  pieces  of  anti-personnel  mines,  572  pieces  of  anti-tank  mines,  explosives  of  481 anti-tank mines, 76 pieces of detonators, 1 177 pieces of 9N235 type bomblets (cluster munitions), 2 183 bullets of various calibers, 1 piece of gas-grenade, 168 grams of black  gunpowder , 25 pieces of meteorological radio direction detectors for military purposes, 6 drones,  2 missiles schemes and 819 exploded missile parts were found.
