The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has reacted to the next biased statistics of the “body” called Khazar institute of military studies.

The Defence Ministry told Defence.az some websites distinguished by their biased position against the Armed Forces have posted the biased “statistics” developed by a “body” called Khazar institute of military studies about the Azerbaijani army.

Thus, being aware of the current social-political, economic and the situation in defence field in Azerbaijan and Armenia, to make the armies of these countries a subject of comparison is nothing but a hostile and absurd view.
Thanks to the care of our state, the social, domestic and moral and psychological state of the servicemen in the army has been improved. In order to improve the combat ability, necessary fortification measures have been taken, more reliable shelters, trenches have been built and protection of troops has been strengthened. Therefore, the combat and non-combat fatalities have decreased 20% in 2017 compared to previous years.

However, due to the real miserable situation in the occupying Armenia and its army, their fatalities are constantly increasing. Just according to the official information, the enemy suffered 32 combat and 30 non-combat losses, and about 100 Armenian injured in 2017. According to the various sources, the true figures are much more than those indicated in the official information.

During the eight days of the current year, four Armenian servicemen died and 10 others injured.

Thus, disseminating false news about the Azerbaijani army referring to non-official sources, doesn’t affect the current situation. Our people are well aware of the situation in the army and the successes achieved due to the reforms conducted under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

In such case, making an impression of miserable situation by collecting unreal figures and adding absurd comments aims to play into the enemy’s hands and serves their interests.

The below-mentioned list presents official statistics of fatalities among soldiers in Armenia. If we take into account the fatalities, which are not publicized, then these figures would have significantly increased.
