Armenia and its so-called regime continue to spread a lot of false information, contradicting each other, and there is no need for Azerbaijan’s intervention to expose this kind of information, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the Azerbaijani President, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said on Wednesday, Defence.az reports.
Hajiyev noted that the photo of Armenia’s defense minister with Armenian servicemen in the uniforms of Azerbaijan’s State Border Service smashed this country’s fake campaign on mercenaries.
“Armenia’s Justice Ministry has recognized the absence of a third mercenary, while the country’s Defense Ministry and other bodies announced that they would provide information about a new mercenary. Probably, they could not find a suitable person for their staged theater. To create an artificial fighting spirit, the Armenian side is also preparing fake battle scenes with the help of the so-called bloggers,” the presidential aide said.
Hajiyev also noted that the reports disseminated by the so-called regime about the alleged killing of a civilian in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation are yet another disinformation. “One of the features that distinguish Azerbaijan from Armenia is that Azerbaijan is not at war with civilians.”
The presidential aide reminded that the Khojaly genocide as a vivid example of a crime against humanity has demonstrated the true essence of Armenia’s military-political leadership.
He also said that the Azerbaijani people were subjected to ethnic cleansing in the Armenian-occupied territories.
Hajiyev described the killing of civilians, including children, in Tartar, Ganja, Barda and other cities by missile attacks as a continuation of the policy of the Khojaly genocide by Armenia.
“Only the means used have changed. The shelling of the civilian population of Azerbaijan is one of the goals of the doctrine of the Armenian armed forces,” he added.
The presidential aide stressed that the greatest danger to the civilian population of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan comes from Armenia and its criminal junta regime.
Hajiyev called on the Armenian civilians living in the occupied Azerbaijani territories to be vigilant and stay away from the zone of hostilities.
“Civilians wishing to move to the Azerbaijan-controlled territory will be provided with all kinds of assistance and support based on international principles of humanism,” he concluded.
