Azerbaijan sends 7 more war veterans to Turkey for treatment

Seven more severely wounded Azerbaijani servicemen have been sent to Turkey for treatment with the support of the YASHAT Foundation.


Taking into account the medical report, the process of examination, treatment and rehabilitation of the war veterans – Vusal Islamov, Ismayil Huseynov, Rahul Bayramov, Adil Guliyev, Ruslan Aliyev, Samaddin Ahmadov, Abulfat Gurbanov – will continue in Turkey, Defence.az reports.

To date, the YASHAT Foundation has sent 94 Azerbaijani servicemen to Turkey for treatment. Of those, 32 servicemen have already returned to Azerbaijan after receiving treatment. Currently, the medical examination, treatment and rehabilitation of 62 Azerbaijani servicemen wounded in the 44-day Patriotic War continue in Turkey.

The YASHAT Foundation will monitor the treatment of war veterans until it is completed.

On 8 December 2020, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the establishment of the YASHAT Foundation in order to support the war-wounded and families of martyrs who protected the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Under the presidential order, the funds of the Foundation are formed through voluntary financial assistance (donations) provided by citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijanis living abroad, other individuals and legal entities, as well as other sources not prohibited by law.
