Russian servicemen are withdrwing from Turkey as planned, said Russian President's Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Defence.az reports.

According to him, there is no question of expelling Russian technicians from the country upon the request of Washington.

“This is not the case. Our relevant service gave an explanation yesterday. There is no American influence there. You know that the Americans exert great pressure on the Turkish, but the Turkish side has consistently maintained its position. All our specialists there are returning to their homeland as planned, they have completed the training of Turkish staff. It is not right to present it as expulsion from the country," Peskov stressed.

In 2017, Russia and Turkey signed an agreement for the S-400 complex. Delivery of the air defense systems to Turkey took place in the summer and autumn of 2019. The agreement has caused a crisis in relations between Turkey and the United States. Washington demanded that Turkey buy American Patriot complexes.
